Mr. Hamblen operated a sawmill in the Martha community for many years in the early 1900's. He used this house as an office on South Cumberland Street and The Hamblen house was relocated to Fiddlers Grove in 1993 and was donated by the Estate of W. W. Hamblen.

shipped hardwood lumber and red cedar all over the United States by rail. Mr. Hamblen also played an important role in WWII supplying the lumber for manufacturing gunstocks for the rifles.
