Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home

Ligon and Bobo Funeral HomeMr. Charles Horace Ligon and his son Raymond opened an undertaking and embalming business near the public square in 1920.  There were three undertakers in Lebanon as early as 1918; namely, Charles Horace Ligon, R. P. Briene, and Seagraves Embalming and Undertaking.

In 1938, Mr. Ligon's daughter, Vera and husband, Alex Bobo opened a Bobo and Ligon Furniture and Undertaking business in Old Hickory.  In 1959, Mr. Charles Ligon and his son-in-law, Alex Bobo relocated to the former home of Robert Caruthers, founder of Cumberland University Law School.

The funeral home was operated as Ligon and Bobo for many years.  The current owners, David Brooks and Clark McKinney, bought the funeral home and continue operating under the name of Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home on West Main Street.

The Fiddlers Grove Chapel showcases a Viewing Room and an Embalming Room.

It was built in 2003 and donated to Fiddlers Grove by David Brooks and Clark McKinney.
